Anthony Callea joined us to chat about his new Connection Tour, why he gets more nervous performing as he gets older and the special relationship he’s built with Australian Idol winner Harlan. We also heard about his plans to strip the tour back with acoustic performances, plenty of stories and even some looping. Then Anthony took on Ricki in a very competitive game of Sing, featuring songs about connection, and somehow came out on top.

We tried to understand some of the bizarre things young people are doing these days, starting with pheromone maxing, where apparently skipping showers is meant to make you more attractive. We also got our heads around the whole “talking stage” of relationships, where you can apparently sleep together without actually being boyfriend and girlfriend. Then listeners revealed the other slang and habits they just cannot understand, from being “zesty” and “selling” to sending each other photos of absolutely nothing on Snapchat.

We got emotional over Ricki’s Sydney Marathon story, then spoke to Phil Brent, who was the fastest person to complete the marathon dressed as a turtle. We got into some spectacular DIY fails, before opening the Proud Parent Hotline and hearing what Sydney parents are most proud of their kids for.

Ricki got weirdly emotional watching the Sydney Marathon on Sunday, seeing thousands of people pushing themselves through something so difficult while complete strangers lined the streets cheering them on. Then she spotted my auntie on the course and watched her tracker as she smashed through the 16K and 36K marks, which absolutely sent me over the edge. We also got into the other random things that make us cry, from kids getting older to emotional Armageddon moments and wholesome Instagram reels.
