He was often referred to as the "godfather "of British blues,"He was a pivotal figure in the genre's evolution. His work with the Bluesbreakers and his label, Blue Horizon, played a crucial role in bringing British blues to a wider audience. Vernon's production style was characterized by its raw and authentic sound, capturing the essence of the blues while also incorporating elements of rock and pop. His influence extended beyond the studio, as he was also a passionate supporter of the blues and a mentor to many young musicians..
