Drazah Rooms | Archive 005 | MAK 10  Darkman Zulu, Spidey G & Ramzee

Welcome to a very special edition of Drazah Rooms.  Settings levels 90 Minutes of Pure vibes & Energy

This lineup is a heavyweight meeting of London’s underground elite. MAK 10 is a legendary figure in the scene, known as a foundational member of the N.A.S.T.Y Crew and a DJ who transitioned seamlessly from being a Grime pioneer to a specialist in the more percussive, soulful realms of Afro House, Tribal House, and a selection of exclusive dubs you won't hear anywhere else.

Keeping the energy locked on the mic, we have a triple-threat lineup of London’s finest veteran MCs:

Darkman Zulu: Bringing that deep, commanding presence and tribal energy.

Spidey G: The precision flow and seasoned crowd-control expert.

Ramzee: High-octane bars and authentic underground vibes.

#269 The Soul Damn ‘Phisticated! Radio Show - April 12th, 2026

Sun, 12 Apr 2026

There are playlists… and then there are experiences.

On this week’s edition of The Soul Damn ’Phisticated! Radio Show, I opened with three uninterrupted tracks, gliding from Anthony Hamilton into the polished groove of After 7, before Atlantic Starr sealed the mood.

From there, I stretched out into deeper territory with James Mason’s Sweet Power Your Embrace, a track that continues to influence.  The soul lineage was on full display… from Mtume’s sophisticated funk arrangements to the unmistakable DNA of The J.B.’s.

The show is not all about nostalgia. The future was present - Moonchild’s collaboration with PJ Morton delivered modern soul with depth, while artists like Slowe and Em-Cee reminded us that the genre is evolving beautifully.

moments of pure dancefloor joy came courtesy of Unlimited Touch before the show settled into the warm glow of D’Angelo and Roy Ayers . . . Just music that feels.

#268 The Soul Damn ‘Phisticated! Radio Show - April 5th, 2026

Sun, 12 Apr 2026

The Soul Damn ‘Phisticated! Radio Show doesn’t shout for attention, it draws you in.

This week it is a journey through current soul, rare grooves, and timeless classics that still feel like they were made yesterday.

We open in velvet mode with Terry Dexter and Alvin Garrett, glide through the jazz-tinged textures of Moonchild and Omar, then dig deeper into the crates with 24-Carat Black and the ever-silky Minnie Riperton.

There’s a silken thread running through this one… from Janet Jackson sampling Change, to the cosmic soul of Marvin Gaye and Roy Ayers closing things out.

Press play, settle in, and let the show connect the dots between then, now, and everything in between.
